Dr. Michelle Westcott Aesthetic Academy Model Terms & Conditions: Policy for Models for Education & Teaching Purposes

Section 1 – Dr. Michelle Westcott Aesthetic Academy Background

Dr. Michelle Westcott Aesthetic Academy is a premier training and education provider for medical professionals in the non-surgical medical aesthetics sector. As part of our training courses, we use models for the following purposes:

  • Demonstration: Our trainers perform procedures on models to demonstrate techniques to trainees.

  • Practical Training: Trainees gain hands-on experience by performing procedures under the direct supervision of our expert trainers.

Section 2 – Initial Model Selection

When you register as a model with Dr. Michelle Westcott Aesthetic Academy, our Model Coordinators will guide you through the process, collect necessary information, and assess your suitability for treatment. We may request photographs of you to assist in this evaluation.

  • Medical Consultation: All models must undergo a medical consultation before any treatment. Initial suitability assessments are conducted over the phone by our trainers and include:

  • Screening for basic contraindications such as pregnancy, breastfeeding, etc.

  • Reviewing your basic medical history and previous cosmetic treatments.

  • Understanding any previous adverse reactions and your treatment expectations.

  • Photographic Submission: Models are required to submit recent photographs (less than 2 weeks old) for assessment. These photos must reflect your current appearance without any recent aesthetic, medical, or surgical interventions.

  • Right to Decline or Cancel Appointments: Dr. Michelle Westcott Aesthetic Academy reserves the right to decline or cancel appointments under the following conditions:

  • If you refuse to submit required photographs.

  • If the photographs are insufficient for making an informed decision.

  • If contraindications or other concerns are identified that make treatment inappropriate.

  • In cases where we decline or cancel an appointment, any deposit paid will be refunded.

  • Final Decision: The ultimate decision on your suitability for treatment lies with the Trainer on the day of your appointment. They may choose to decline some or all treatments based on their professional judgment.

  • Data Protection: All information provided will be stored and handled in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) (2018).

Section 3 – Consultations

All models must undergo a medical consultation before treatment. Consultations can occur either on the day of your appointment or beforehand, depending on the complexity of the treatment.

  • Consultation on the Day of Treatment: A non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking, which covers the cost of the consultation. This deposit is non-refundable, even if the treatment does not proceed. However, it may be transferred at the discretion of our team.

  • Consultation Before the Treatment Day: For complex treatments, consultations may be scheduled before the treatment day. The consultation fee is €50, payable at the time of booking, and is non-refundable if canceled less than 48 hours before the appointment.

Section 4 – Follow-Up Appointments

All models are entitled to a follow-up if required, which may not necessarily involve additional treatment.

  • Booking Follow-Ups: Follow-up appointments are generally scheduled on training days to allow trainees to learn from the outcomes. If a follow-up is required outside of a training day, a €50 fee applies, unless the follow-up is due to a clinical error or complication.

  • Models who receive Botulinum Toxin A injections in our training clinic and require a treatment review must schedule their follow-up strictly within 10-14 days after the treatment. If additional units are needed due to a clinical error, the Academy will cover the cost. However, any additional units required after the 14-day period will be at the model's expense.

  • Cancellations and No-Shows: If you need to cancel a follow-up appointment, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance. Cancellations within 48 hours or no-shows will result in forfeiture of the deposit and may lead to removal from our model database.

Section 5 – Multiple Bookings by the Same Model on the Same Training Day

If you wish to have multiple areas treated on the same day, we can accommodate this, provided there are no contraindications.

  • Appointment Structure: Each treatment area requires a separate appointment. A non-refundable deposit is required for each appointment booked.

  • Limits on Bookings: You are limited to one botulinum toxin and two dermal filler appointments on the same day.

Section 6 – Appointment Deposits

A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is required to secure your appointment.

  • Deposit Forfeiture: Failure to attend your appointment will result in forfeiture of the deposit. The deposit tariff is as follows:

  • Standard model treatment appointment – €50

  • Complex treatment appointment – €100

  • Follow-up appointment – €50

  • Lateness Policy: If you expect to be late, please contact the academy. A 15-minute grace period is allowed, after which your appointment may be canceled, and your deposit forfeited.

Section 7 – Undergoing Treatment

Models participate in these sessions for educational purposes, benefiting trainees who are learning aesthetic skills.

  • Treatment by Trainees: Models must be willing to undergo treatment by trainees under the supervision of our trainers. The Trainer has the discretion to carry out or delegate the treatment.

  • No Child Policy: Models are not permitted to bring children or more than one companion to the training premises.

Section 8 – Complex Treatments

Complex treatments may involve multiple facial areas or high-risk zones.

  • Pre-Approval: All complex treatments require prior approval and consultation at least one day before the treatment appointment. Consultation fees apply as detailed earlier.

  • Cost Estimates: An estimate of the treatment cost will be provided during the consultation.

Section 9 – Treatment Limitations/Flexibility in Model Appointments

Trainers will use their clinical judgment to determine the appropriate amount of product for each treatment, considering:

  • Model Expectations: Ensuring informed consent and that the treatment aligns with the model's financial commitment and expectations.

  • Appointment Structure: Treatment scope is limited to the procedures being taught during the specific training course.

Section 10 – Communication with Models

We communicate with prospective and existing models through various platforms:

  • Channels: Facebook, Mailing List, Website, Direct Email, Telephone (01 531 1009), and WhatsApp (087 494 5454)

  • GDPR Compliance: All communications are conducted in line with GDPR (2018).

Section 11 – Course Structure and Appointment Times

Each training course follows a structured timetable with fixed appointment times.

  • Arrival Time: Models are requested to arrive 10 minutes before their designated appointment time.

  • Cancellations: The academy reserves the right to limit appointments due to frequent cancellations, no-shows, or unrealistic patient expectations.

Section 12 – Adverse Reactions and Complications

Adverse reactions and complications are risks associated with any medical procedure.

  • Trainer Qualifications: All trainers and trainees are medical professionals regulated by a Professional Statutory & Regulatory Body.

  • Post-Treatment Care: In case of an adverse reaction, models should contact us immediately. After-hours emergencies are directed to a specific contact number.

Section 13 – Team Members as Models

Team members wishing to act as models must have a consultation with a clinician every 6 months.

  • Eligibility: Team members who have not had a recent consultation are not permitted to undergo treatment as models.

  • Treatment Costs: Team members are entitled to standard model rates, with free treatments allowed in cases of short-notice cancellations, provided a recent consultation has occurred.

Section 14 – Discounting Model Treatments

In line with ethical guidelines, we do not promote time-limited discounts or offer free treatments without proper consultation and a cooling-off period.

  • Approval and Documentation: All discounts must be approved by the manager and recorded in our database.

Section 15 – Paying for Treatment

Models can pay for their treatments using cash or credit/debit cards.

  • Payment Terms: Deposits must be paid in advance, with the remaining balance due on the day of the treatment. Direct debit, cheques, and bank transfers are not accepted.

This policy ensures a professional, respectful, and effective training environment for both models and trainees at Dr. Michelle Westcott Aesthetic Academy. Thank you for your cooperation.
